Why Mobility is Vital to Bring Energy into your Leadership.

Movement: a core pillar of human health.

Founder health, too.

We’re good at staying busy, that’s for sure. But in the world of entrepreneurship, a “busy” day can easily become 10 hours of back-to-back calls and screen time—with no room to breathe. Literally.

In one sense, we’re constantly moving: pitching ideas, building teams, managing chaos. But too often, we neglect the one kind of movement that actually sustains the rest—movement of the body.

Movement isn’t just about fitness. It’s about:

  • Disrupting stress cycles that cloud decision-making

  • Restoring creativity when your mental tank feels dry

  • Reconnecting with your body—especially when your brain's in overdrive

  • Building the stamina it takes to play the long game of entrepreneurship

Your body is your first business partner. Treat it like one.Not just for the sake of work—but for your family, your relationships, your future adventures outside the office.

And sure, maybe you’re already a 5:00 a.m. gym-goer with a structured routine. That’s great. But what science now shows us is that short, consistent movement breaks throughout the day have profound benefits too. We're talking:

  • Improved cognitive function

  • Reduced fatigue

  • Lower stress

  • Sharper decision-making

Movement isn’t something to “get out of the way”—it’s something to keep coming back to, throughout the course of each day.

At our latest ELEVATE: Founder Wellness session, we explored exactly this with Elizabeth (Libby) Harrington, Founder & CEO of Vital Ventures. Her mission? Helping people—especially entrepreneurs—reimagine what’s possible in business and life.

Vital Ventures is a fitness adventure company offering structured training and epic outdoor experiences for people from all walks of life—founders included. With a focus on healthspan, connection, and doing hard things together, this startup serves those who want to feel strong, capable, and fully alive.

Think: building your business while training with a community to hike the Grand Canyon rim to rim (to rim!).

It’s bold. But with motivation, community, and commitment to daily movement—you’d be surprised what’s possible.

The VITAL Reset

During our session, Libby guided us through the VITAL Reset—a 10-minute movement routine designed for busy professionals. It helps:

  • Reset posture and reduce tension

  • Boost energy, mood, and focus

  • Improve long-term strength and mobility

  • Support smarter decisions and sustainable leadership

You can do it anywhere, anytime. Even in between Zoom calls.

Here’s your challenge: Try doing this “workout snack” 4–5 times a week for the next month. Mark it with a check on your calendar each day you complete it.

The VITAL Reset — 6 moves, 6 reps each:

  •  Standing Cat-Cow Spinal
(Reverses sitting posture, mobilizes spine, boosts breath)

  • Wall or Desk Angels
(Opens shoulders, improves posture, relieves tech-neck)

  •  Bodyweight Squats
(Builds strength, boosts circulation, linked to longevity)

  • Desk Push-Ups
(Activates core + arms, energizes without equipment)

  • Standing Bird Dog (Low Range)
(Builds balance + coordination, improves core stability)

  • Box Breathing
(Reduces cortisol, sharpens focus, calms the nervous system)

Want a walkthrough? Reach out—we’d love to share the demo video and get you moving.

It’s time to let movement become a daily investment in your leadership, your longevity, and your life. Remember: healthy founders make for healthy exits.
